Plus each room when explored can just be broken while you don't have a way to fix it, or on fire, or with 0 searchable objects in it and so on. You can find something usefull or not, always luck. and so on, without taking in consideration that when you search, you have limited amount of searching for each room (except few of them) and that you randomly draw 2 cards. You have to hope for someone to come and kill it for you) roll a dice if you want to enter an escape pod to see if an alien shows up (and again it if happens, if you are one of the worst 3 characters you are doomed, because you simply can't kill it and enter the pod.

you can cryo yourself, hoping for the ship to now just blow up or going directly into the sun.the coordinates of destination are randomly selected and secretly changed by players, so you need to go all the way down to the cockpit hoping for no aliens in front of you.the engines are randomly placed and secretly checked, so you should go and check them by yourself making you waste a LOT of time on the way -assuming you are lucky enough to not encounter any alien by the way.draw a contagion card wich randomly can make you infected or not at the end of the game, making you waste you last 3 hours of game.draw a token from the bag to randomly know what intruder will show up.draw a card for knowing the lifepoint of an alien after you succesfully shoot them. The monster kinda always hit, and they hit really bad draw an intruder card for fighting phase.draw an event card in wich maybe the ship explodes by fire spreading or malfuncions.roll dice for fighting (assuming you have ammo available) + discard a card.It is so stupid to have them randomly placed and not near the actual escape pods -.-") BUT I just can't get over the amount of overwhelming RNG that occours in that game: I love the mechanics of the game, thematic and room randomness locations ( I can get over that - unless is the randomness location for escape pods. So you are doomed to be counterattacked untill death. (the scientist has 3 ammo, but if you roll a double damage, you deal only 1 wound - bullsh** weapon and character). And if you think about standing your ground, guess what, you have the 3 worst weapon with limited amount of ammo. If you are running to a specific room and an alien appears, if you are one of the above 3 characters, you can easily get away unscratched, while if you are one of the others 3 (pilot, mechanic or scientist) you are forced to take damage + contamination card (most of the time).

Since the game is all based on lucky rolls, this is too dam overpowered. Better weapons + cards that allows them to escape (multiple times) from an encounter without being damaged is something too much strong. Captain, Soldier, Scout are really OP compared to others. It's a stupid thing that the ones who are best at fight have the ability card to escape encounters, while the weakest ones doesn't. You can't prepare a tactic, because everything is affected by a random draw/roll.Plus, it is extremely unbalanced between characters.
